Breeders Are the Heart of a Cattery
Without good breeders, you cannot breed great kittens. At Mindeelyn Siberians, each breeder is carefully selected. This enables us to produce magnificent Siberian kittens who are healthy and have extremely affectionate personalities. Each of our breeders comes from lines filled with championships, but rather than rhyme off a bunch of statistics, we thought we would tell you more about their personalities. Just like people, cats are very different.
Layla - The Quirky Star of our Cattery
Meet Layla, the delightfully quirky star of our cattery. With an endearing tilt of her head and a mischievous sparkle in her eyes, Layla enchants everyone around her.
But don't be deceived by her sweet appearance. Hidden beneath that fluffy exterior is a sharp mind and a knack for getting into mischief. Her intelligence and problem-solving skills never fail to impress us; even if they sometimes lead her into trouble. From accidentally tipping over a can of paint to getting tangled in the sleeve of a jacket, Layla's escapades are as entertaining and maddening as they are unpredictable. Whether she's doing things she knows she shouldn't or concocting elaborate plans to reach tantalizing treats, Layla's life is always brimming with excitement and adventure.
Anataliya - Miss Curiosity
Introducing Anataliya, Layla's best friend and her partner in crime. With the same stunning looks as Layla and a personality as big as her heart, Anataliya marches to her own beat. She's the confident leader, fearlessly exploring every corner of our home - even taking two-story dives from the upstairs railings! She's a softie at heart and takes the role of mother cat very seriously. Despite her occasional wild antics, she's deeply devoted to her kittens and thrives on being involved in her litter and that of her friend Layla. We make it a point to breed these two cats simultaneously as their bond is inseparable. While Anataliya's uniqueness might tilt a bit towards the crazy side, her uniqueness makes her a cherished member of our cattery family.
In our cattery full of lively cats with big personalities, there's one special feline who doesn't seek much attention. That's Yulia; our Little Miss Perfect. Yulia is a cat of few demands. She does not draw attention to herself or ask for much. Instead, she quietly goes about her day, enjoying simple interactions like a gentle pat or sharing a cozy spot on the couch. She may not be the loudest or most outgoing, but Yulia's sweetness is undeniable. One of Yulia's most remarkable qualities is her role as a mother; showering her kittens with love and tenderness.
When Yulia retires from our cattery, she will make a wonderful pet for someone. Her calm demeanour and loving nature will bring happiness to any home lucky enough to have her.

Lorinda - Our Kitten Thief
Lorinda is a wonderful cat that was born into our cattery several years ago. She loves the whole world and everyone in it - especially dogs. She is also very passionate about kittens. When she does not have a litter, Lorinda can always be found hanging around, watching someone else's kittens. When she has her own litter, she tries to snatch other mothers' kittens and bring them back to her nest. It does not matter how many kittens she acquires, either honestly by birth or by thieving them from others. Although this can be very annoying to some mothers, and occasionally a spat will start, it sometimes can be helpful for us because, with her very positive belief in the Foster Parent Program, she is always ready to take on a kitten or two from an extra large litter or to take over for another mother who cannot care for her own litter.

Zoya- Our Resident Chatterbox
Zoya has an opinion on just about everything and she is not shy about sharing her thoughts. She is more talkative than any Siberian we have ever known. But what sets Zoya apart is that she is not just babbling to be heard. She genuinely seems to be trying to communicate with us. Engaging in a conversation with Zoya is a fun experience. We will say something, pause, and then she will respond, creating an adorable back-and-forth entertaining exchange.
When it comes time to find a new home for Zoya, we will be looking for the perfect match—someone who appreciates her talkative nature and is ready to engage in endless conversation with this lovable chatterbox. Zoya deserves nothing less than the perfect home where her lively spirit can truly shine.
Eugenia - The Helper
Need help around the house? Eugenia is the cat for you!
She is very happy to join in sweeping the floor. The vacuum is great, but she does prefer a mop or broom. Eugenia is excellent with office work also. She tries very hard to prevent the paper from spilling out of the printer and bats enthusiastically as the mouse moves across the monitor. For most, bedmaking is a drag, but not for Eugenia. The more the blankets are flipped, the more she gets into the task. With all of this in her busy schedule, she still finds time to be an outstanding and very attentive mother when she has a litter of little ones.
Avatar, our senior male, was born in Poland. Due to the difference in languages, airline, and immigration issues, it was a long and difficult job to bring him to Canada. He has turned out to be well worth the wait and effort.
Avatar is a handsome golden sunshine tabby with a long line of championship ancestors stretching back many generations. He has a wonderfully warm and friendly personality. He has provided us with numerous kittens and best of all - he is a real hit with the ladies!
Avatar - Handsome, Adorable and Loving
"Incredibly Smart and Affectionate"
We've had Duchess, a retired breeder from Mindeelyn, for almost a year now. She's turning six next month, and she's brought nothing but happiness. She's more than just a pet; she's a cherished family member. Duchess is not only beautiful but also smart and affectionate, and we feel incredibly lucky to have her. She's everything we could have hoped for in a cat, even though we have not had her since she was a kitten.
Attached is a picture you sent us while we were waiting for Duchess. It shows her with her last litter of kittens. They are all so adorable.
Thank you for bringing such a wonderful cat into our lives.
